How to Automatically Schedule Content Updates in WordPress?

Scheduling Content Updates in WordPress:-

The initial thing you need to do is to install & activate the Tao Schedule Update plugin. After activation you need to visit posts-> All posts page in WordPress admin dashboard. Here you can locate the post where you want to schedule changes & updates and then tap on ‘Schedule Update’ link.

This Tao Schedule Update plugin will creates a draft copy of your original posts and open in the post editor. Now you can make changes to your post. Once you have done editing, tap on date & time next to publish option.

This will display time and date settings. You have to enter date & time when you want to schedule the changes to go live & then click schedule button at top right corner of screen. Your changes will now scheduled will be automatically published at the date & time you specify.

Scheduling Content Updates in Classic Editor:-

If you are still using classic editor then you will see a new meta box in the right column labeled ‘Scheduled update’

Here you can choose date & time when you want to publish changes. After that you can save the changes by click on save button under publish meta box.

Viewing and Managing Scheduled Post Updates:-

You can manage your scheduled posts from all posts screen. All scheduled updates will be shown with their release date. From here you can delete or modify your scheduled updates without affecting original post. Also you can post an update immediately by clicking on Publish button.
