Setting Up Facebook Comments in WordPress
Simply the way to add the Facebook comments in WordPress is by using the plugin. There are many plugins available in WordPress to add this but we will use the Lazy FB comments plugin. This plugin is free not only for adding the Fb comments on your website but also improve the comments loading speed.
First, you need to install Lazy FB comments plugin and activate it. After activation you need to go setting>> Lazy FB comments to configure the plugin.
To use Facebook commenting on your site you will have to create fb app and add the application ID into the plugin’s setting page. If you already have this app then you can use the application ID here.
If you don’t have Facebook Developer account then you need to register it. After that click on the My Apps link which presents in right corner of the page.
A menu will open up where you have to click on create app option. This will open on a modal window you need to provide a email address and name for your app.
Now, click on Create App ID button. This will open a popup and will ask you enter some CAPTCHA letters. Simply, fill it and then click on submit button.
Now Facebook create a new App for you and then redirect you the app dashboard. You can notice you App ID displayed here.
Now, click on the setting>> basic link from the sidebar and click on the Add platform button, which from the bottom of the page. This step is tell Facebook how to you use the App.
Now a new popup would appear on your screen. You need to click on website to select it for confirm that it is your platform. Add a new website section in your app’s setting page where you will enter your website URL.
Please click on save button for save your setting. Now you can copy the APP ID and paste it on the FB App ID text box of the plugin’s setting page. Once you have done, you need to scroll down and click on the save button to store your settings.
Now you can see the ‘Moderate Comments’ beside the title of this. You can manage your setting according to you. For example:- if you want to change the load comments option to “On Scroll”. This will load comments only when someone reaches he end of the article. This will also helps you in improve the page load speed.
